What don’t you want in life? This is such an easy question to answer. But I’ll bet you can come up with a long list of things you do not want in life.
- I don’t want to be broke
- I don’t want to be stuck in this job
- I don’t want to be living for the weekends
- I don’t want to be alone
For some reason, it seems like it’s easy to default to the negative almost as a defense mechanism. It’s as if you’re super clear about the things you do not want and will actively push them away to protect yourself.
So, what DO you want?
What are the things you want to have in your life?
- Abundance
- Fulfillment
- Joy
- Love
We spend so much time focused on the things we don’t want that we often fail to consider the other side of it, the things we DO want. But here’s the thing: When we focus on something, we tend to get more of that same thing. I’m sure you know someone who dreads all the things that could go wrong, and it seems like that poor person is almost cursed with bad luck. On the other hand, do you know someone who looks on the bright side, keeps their eye on the target, and seems to always land on their feet? The things we choose to focus on affect our outcomes because they affect our mood, behavior, and attitude on levels that we aren’t even aware of. Mindset is everything.
So tell me…. What are you choosing to focus on?
